About Jaismeen Dua

Nothing is more fulfilling in life than pursuing a career one feels passionate about. A highly invested relationship with psychology began in high school for me, flourished in undergraduate studies and solidified in graduate school. Following the same passion, I have dedicated my academic life to psychology for the past six years and have provided mental health care in professional settings for the last 2-3 years. During my undergraduate studies from the DU, I was exposed to the theoretical aspect of psychology and I became familiar with its practical aspects while shadowing psychiatrists and clinical psychologists in multiple clinical internships. Afterwards, I decided to pursue my Master’s in Clinical Psychology in the US where I engaged in research experience and got exposed to clinical work with a culturally diverse population. I am currently enrolled in an MPhil clinical psychology program (RCI accredited). Professionally, I have worked on different mental health cases and have learnt to use a mix of cognitive, behavioral and humanistic techniques in therapy. Just like meaningful relationships in life promote well-being , my relationship with psychology provides me continued motivation to explore and learn more. I wish to offer guidance and encouragement to anyone seeking the same. I promise you, the field of mental health is highly rewarding and mutually beneficial to you and others who seek your help. It's a journey of providing healing and growing personally.
